24 Hour Race, Dubai Autodrome, January 2010

Our physiotherapists where delighted to be invited back once again to join the IMSA Performance Matmut Porsche Team as they battled away to win the Dunlop 24 Hour Race.

Patrick Pilet who drove the car across the finish line to take the chequered flag was quoted as saying "it was a team effort" and the physiotherapists where an integral part of the team.

Our physios worked around the clock providing immediate assesment and treatment for the team's chronic and acute sports injuries.

Barclay's Dubai Tennis Open 2010

For the second year Beverley Strathearn worked at the WTA ladies tennis tournament.

Beverley said "being at the WTA tournament has been a fantastic opportunity to work with elite players and the permanent WTA physiotherapists and a great learning experience." The physios are involved in functional screening of players to assess lack of flexibility or stability of an area which could potentially cause injuries. Any problem areas are treated to try to keep the players as injury free as possible.

Beverley helped to prepare the tennis players for the matches and also provided post match recovery massages. She also treated players with massages for any specific soft tissue dysfuntions affecting their performance.
